One Call Fits All
With our fantastic facilities at Totton Health and Leisure we can offer an extensive range of activities and sports courses whether you are a complete beginner or wishing to improve existing skills. Our experienced and enthusiastic staff will ensure your course is both enjoyable and effective.

Sports Courses

Sports courses are run in conjunction with the local school half term times. The length of the courses therefore varies between 6 to 8 weeks depending on the term length. We do not normally run through the school holidays, with the holiday programme taking its place during this period. For most courses you can book at any times if spaces remain available and a re-enrolment period will be held towards the end of each course, this is usually during the last week.

Gym Tots

These superb sessions are the ideal way to help your child develop movement, flexibility, and motor skills all in the comfort and safety of imaginative play experiences. The activities include a range of apparatus and equipment ideal for this age range with everything done under the watchful eyes of our qualified and experienced staff.

Trampolining

The trampoline courses at Totton Health & Leisure are run to cater for a wide range of levels from the true beginner to the advanced club trampolinist. We are glad to have a wealth of coaching experience with our five main coaches who will help you gain the control and confidence to take your skills to the next level all within a fun based learning environment.

Session Guidelines

¨ All groups will undergo a warm up before using the trampoline and should warm themselves down at the end of each class.

¨ Trampolinists will not be permitted to bounce if they are incorrectly attired. No jeans or flared trousers and no jewellery or watches are to be worn on the trampoline. Socks or trampoline shoes must be worm. All jewellery must be removed prior to trampolining.

¨ Whilst not on the trampoline all trampolinists are expected to spot for other users. This is important both for the safety of the group and will also help you to learn quicker by watching others and listening to the coaches instructions. Failure to spot may result in you missing turns on the trampoline.

¨ All sessions at Totton Health & Leisure operate within governing body guidelines. As such every session will have a minimum of 1 coach to every 12 students and coaches will teach over a maximum of 2 trampolines.

¨ Whilst not being directly instructed by the coaches trampolinists are encouraged to practice their routines but not to attempt any moves they are not yet proficient in.

¨ Every effort will be made to ensure trampolinists get equal amounts of time with coaches and on the trampolines.

¨ Each trampolinist will be coached at a level appropriate to them. Obviously individuals will progress at different rates and coaches will only progress to more difficult moves when they feel they have the necessary skills.

¨ Trampolining can be a very rewarding sport and our coaches will always attempt to ensure that everyone enjoys their time and also where possible progresses through the British Gymnastic Trampoline Awards.
